About Us

The Ariundle Centre has been an integral part of Strontian for many years serving locals and tourists alike.

Our Story

The Ariundle Centre is a family run business that began its life as Cosy Knits, a knitting business established in 1978. It first opened its doors in 1990. The original tea room was housed in a black corrugated shed, with a plastic lean-to for crafts. However, the highlands weather seriously damaged the structure after a few years so the more substantial buildings you see today were built along with the additional lodge for holiday accommodation.

The Ariundle Centre serves tasty food and offers comfortable accommodation. The Ariundle Centre also sells crafts and runs workshops in the craft rooms including felt making, spinning, natural dyeing, basket making and landscape painting.

Meet Kate

Kate has a real passion for cooking and crafting amongst other things. She loves nothing better than spinning wool from the fleeces of her own sheep kept on the croft.
