Local things to do
Here are some ideas on things you can do whilst staying here. For more information on any of these please ask us here at the Ariundle centre.
Walking
It wouldn’t be the highlands if you weren’t spoilt for choice with walks. And we have lots, for all abilities right from the door.
Hiking
There are no munros on the peninsula but some challenging climbs rewarded with fantastic views.
Cycling
From forest tracks to quiet roads, we can’t say it will always be flat but it will be enjoyable.
Fishing
River fishing, freshwater lochs or sea lochs are available. Permits available for certain locations.
On the water
Canoes, kayaks, paddleboards are just some of the ways to get out on the loch.
Boat trips
Discover the islands or pop over to Mull on an organised boat trip.
Nature
Explore the flora and fauna that are all around. A chance to see rare birds and elusive otters amongst many others
Beaches
We are blessed with having some really nice sandy beaches in the vicinity. And they will be quiet.
Attractions
Castles, lighthouses and gardens are popular places to visit whilst staying on the peninsula.
